On Borneo island, it is divided among 3 countries - the Malaysian part (North Borneo which is now Sabah, and Sarawak), Brunei (an oil rich country under the Sultanate of Brunei) and Kalimantan (under Indonesia and takes up the biggest land area of Borneo). I thought “Borneo” is the island as a whole, which is also the 3rd largest island in the world.
